Actual Online Ruler is designed to perform measurements inside your browser. We do not require an account, and the ruler does not upload the objects you measure. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use actualonlineruler.com.
Information stored on your device
The website uses browser local storage to remember your selected unit, ruler position, calibration value, and light or dark theme. This information remains on your device and is used only to restore your preferences. You can remove it by clearing site data in your browser.
Camera and measurement data
The current ruler does not request camera access. Measurements are calculated locally, and we do not receive a history of the objects or dimensions you measure.
Server and hosting logs
Our hosting provider may automatically process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. This can include an IP address, browser type, requested page, approximate time, referring page, and security events. Retention and processing may depend on the hosting provider’s operational and legal requirements.
Cookies and analytics
We do not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. If analytics or other services are introduced later, this policy will be updated and any consent required by applicable law will be requested.

If you contact us by email, we receive the address and information you choose to provide. We use it to respond, troubleshoot problems, and improve the service. Please do not send sensitive personal information.
